Abstract Scope |
Demands for micro-generators have resulted in the advancement of Bi2Te3-based TEs from bulk to thin films, enabling contact with uneven heat sources, which enhances energy conversion possibilities. However, the current encapsulation of flexible thermoelectrics (FTEs) may not endure long-term usage or require complicated procedures, along with high-temperature curing which can give negative impacts. Hence, this investigation employs magnetron sputtering to deposit Bi2Te3-based TEs onto an organic substrate with self-healing ability, producing a self-sealing flexible thermoelectric thin film. In addition, the encapsulation method is simple, and the temperature can be controlled at 50 °C. Moreover, the material possesses water-repellent properties, making it potentially suitable for energy conversion in high humidity or underwater environments. |
