Abstract Scope |
The complex dependencies of the thermoelectric (TE) figure of merit ZT with respect to different electronic and thermal properties requires a large toolbox, helping to understand those details which are necessary in order to improve the respective TE performance.
The present talk aims to analyse the temperature dependence of several relevant transport quantities by employing standard and advanced models in terms of analytical and DFT based calculations. The results will allow to conclude about electronic structures and phonon dynamics, as well as about the relevant interaction processes in these materials. Skutterudites and full-Heusler alloys are considered and the respective physical properties will be accounted for in a wide range of temperatures.
