Abstract Scope |
In recent years, the global industries have been facing growing difficulties and challenges in terms of welding application in the field of large steel structural manufacturing and mega infrastructure project construction. Therefore comes the need of a autonomous welding total solution which characterizes as flexible, high efficiency as well as welding quality stable. This report shall address such total solution applicable to the welding work of small & medium sized oil tank in petrochemical industry. The core of this solution is based on a as-named “Trackless & Unguided All-Position Auto Crawling Welding Robot” which is originated from China and newly commercialized for a few years. The Robot is characterized as: flexible moving on the surface of large steel structural; smart laser auto tracking module; embedded welding data storage with highly adaptive functioning. It is considered as highly innovative and first of its kind with the application of such autonomous welding total solution in the small & medium sized oil tank in petrochemical industry, while it is also anticipated to expend to more areas such as renewable power facility, ship building and maritime engineering ...etc. |
