Abstract Scope |
The non-equilibrium solidification behavior of high-speed laser cladding martensitic stainless steel was studied in this paper. Based on the high-speed photography method, the powder flow behavior of coaxial powder feeding nozzle is analyzed. Combined with the radiation intensity method, the laser power and defocus amount in the cladding process are adjusted to study the temperature evolution behavior of powder flow and the cladding layer, and a heat transfer numerical model was established. Based on SEM and EDS method, the microstructure characteristics of martensitic stainless steel cladding layer were studied, and the effect of non-equilibrium solidification behavior of molten pool on the mechanical properties of cladding layer was analyzed. It is found that positive defocus amount can form better cladding structure. This study brings theoretical and practical significance to understand the non-equilibrium solidification mechanism of laser cladding layer and the optimization of cladding process parameters. |
