Abstract Scope |
This talk introduces and analyzes newest developments related to intelligent welding manufacturing. These technologies improve capabilities to monitor the welding processes, extract key process state from real-time monitoring signals, control of welding process based on the feedback provided by the monitoring signals, coordinate and manage multiple complex units, etc. These developments include high dynamic range (HRD) imaging, weld pool imaging based on spatial filtering and Abbe’s theory of image formation, deep learning based monitoring of weld joining penetration from dynamic HDR weld pool image series, human-robot collaborative welding, model predictive control of 3D weld pool, and multi-agent welding manufacturing system under the Internet of Things (IOT) communication technology. |
