Abstract Scope |
Solid-state alkali metal batteries have attracted intense attentions as candidates for next-generation energy storage systems. In such battery structure, solid-state ionic conductors play a critical role to achieve high performance. Sulfide-based alkali-ion conductors, as a promising class of superconductors, the investigations on their synthesis methods and processing approaches for potential applications in solid-state batteries are significant.
In this talk, we will introduce different synthetic approaches for a representative inorganic Na-ion superionic conductors (Na3SbS4 family), such as solid-state reaction and solvent-free low-temperature heating. For both synthesis methods, the synthesis reaction mechanisms as well as the effects of parameters on phase purity are studied. In addition, the correlations between the composition, structure and ionic conductivities for Na3SbS4 family superionic conductors are presented as well as the processing of sulfide inorganic powders for solid-state Na metal batteries. This work promotes sulfide inorganics as attractive electrolyte candidates in the solid-state battery industry |
