Abstract Scope |
In this work are presented the synthesis of the lanthanum modified lead titanate system (Pb(1-(3/2)x)Lax/2TiO3) with x=0.21 ( PLT21) undoped and doped with 1% in weight with rare earths: Samarium and Ytterbium. Samarium 1.0%; PLT:Sm, Samarium 1.0% and Ytterbium at 1%; PLT:Sm:Yb. The powders were obtained using the solid-state method. Structural and microstructural characterizations were conducted on both the powders and ceramic systems to observe how the incorporation of rare earth elements affected the perovskite-type structure and the lattice parameters. Agglomerates were observed in the powders, while the ceramics exhibited high density values and a uniform microstructure. To determine the influence of rare earth elements on the material and explore its multifunctional potential, electrical and photoluminescence measurements will be carried out. |
