Abstract Scope |
Cold spray additive manufacturing requires non-trivial complex toolpaths to achieve a near net shape process. This talk focuses on advancements made in creating a slicer for cold spray additive manufacturing including build trials, mechanical properties, successes, and lessons learned. In particular, we will focus on the development of algorithms that optimize toolpath generation for intricate geometries, ensuring material deposition with minimal waste and enhanced structural integrity. The effect of these toolpaths on mechanical properties and the implementation of new materials for CSAM will also be discussed. SNL is managed and operated by NTESS under DOE NNSA contract DE-NA0003525. |
