Abstract Scope |
The question of whether the size dependency of stress-strain results increases or decreases by increasing deformation rates is addressed. In this study, different interaction modes are numerically observed and receive great supports from exciting experimental works. Moreover, it can be seen that the current single-crystal gradient plasticity model may capture the rate dependency of size-dependent yield strengthening through particular features of the model, a rate-dependence function and a rate-sensitivity parameter which are incorporated into a dissipative gradient strengthening term. |
