| Abstract Scope |
The developments of β-Ti alloys have been the subject of an
ongoing medical field studies. The study highlights the design of β-Ti alloy
and developing the substrate with electrical discharge treatment for high
degree of biocompatibility. Demand for developing the non- toxic, low modulus-high strength implants can be fulfilled by synchronizing β stabilizer content and combining tailored surface engineering techniques. Furthermore, the human body environment response to the implants is as important as the physical properties that regulate healing response; hence, the optimum selection of alloying elements, and surface treatment plays a crucial role in clinical success.
