Abstract Scope |
High entropy alloys (HEAs) with multi principal elements are of (near)equimolar ratios and concentrations to fulfil high mixing entropies in solid solution states. Since the properties of HEAs change depending on the additive elements and composition, their designs are based on some alloys that have been reported as single-phase and then attaining secondary properties by adding the alloying elements with considering the alloying effect. In case of quaternary CoCuFeNi HEA with a single-phase FCC structure showed low yield strength while maintaining high ductility and has been studied in various aspects. In this study, we investigated the Al and V effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties of (CoCuFeNi)92(Al1-0.8xV0.8x)8 (x=1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 at.%). In order to investigate the correlation between the microstructural characterization and mechanical properties according to the ratio of aluminum and vanadium, and aims to maintain excellent ductility and improve strength by forming the FCC phase. |
