Abstract Scope |
This presentation explores how informatics provides a robust framework to tailor individual alloying additions in multicomponent alloys for engineering performance. Our approach permits one to understand how different and/or the same alloying element has a multifunctional role in defining engineering properties. Using nickel and cobalt based multicomponent alloys as a platform, we discuss how harnessing how informatics can direct chemical design of alloys that accounts for the influence of microstructure and phase stability and their impact on multiple properties including mechanical and environmental interactions. |
