Abstract Scope |
In recent years, there is an increasing demand for high-performance silicon nitride materials and bearing balls for ultra-precision hybrid bearings, which are used as core parts in machinery, electric vehicles, and semiconductor/display manufacturing processes. The market for hybrid bearings is expected to expand.
We have developed silicon nitride bearing grade balls with nano/micro hybrid microstructure and mechanical properties will be discussed with relation to bearing properties. Also it will be briefly discussed on the properties of the silicon nitride powder produced by the thermal reduction with recyclable magnesium and nitridation method. |
