Abstract Scope |
Nowadays, the use of secondary materials instead of primary one taking advantage of its less energy needs is becoming even more important all the time. Following the global trend, the Copper producers are being charged to recover all sorts of different scraps with different qualities. The challenge is to remove different contamination using oxidation and after that reduce it again upon to remove the oxygen from refined Copper. Technologies are being developed to overcome those issues, providing a flexible condition whether oxidant or reductant to interact the flame with the smelted Copper bath achieving specific chemical compositions and tuning it using indirect measure technologies to control a Copper Scrap Converter. |
