Abstract Scope |
In this paper, the utilization process of high-phosphorus iron ore, pellet hydrogen reduction followed by melting separation, was experimentally studied. After oxidation roasting, the oolitic structure in the original ore powder was destroyed, and the content of Fe2+ in the pellets was 0.69 wt %. At the reduction temperature of 1173 K, the metallization rate of pellets could reach 90% under N2:H2=1:1 atmosphere and the phosphorus content in the pellet increased to 0.95 wt%. In the melting separation stage, the molten iron with a phosphorus content of 0.34 wt % was obtained by mixing 15% CaO into the metalized pellet, and the iron recovery was 88%. |
