Abstract Scope |
High entropy alloys are relatively novel engineering materials that present extraordinary properties in vast operation conditions. Their multicomponent character makes it difficult to predict the solidification microstructure especially in non-equilibrium conditions.
Here, we will show the time resolved microstructure evolution probed using in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction during laser powder bed fusion of a FeMnCoCr-based high entropy alloys with and without inoculant particles added. The time-resolved evolution microstructure will then be correlated with the solidification microstructure and resulting mechanical performance. |
