Abstract Scope The ACerS President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA), the student leadership committee within ACerS, has created the ACerS Section Outreach Kit Initiative (SOKI) which streamlines STEM outreach through regional ACerS sections to local universities, companies, and community organizations. Many active ACerS members are interested in supporting STEM outreach opportunities but may lack the knowledge of how to get involved. ACerS student organizations, like Keramos and Materials Advantage (MA) chapters, have established outreach initiatives and an enthusiastic workforce. Universities and community establishments have knowledge of local education needs. The goal of this program is to link together these groups to identify and direct outreach to underserved schools in their local area using the ACerS Mini Materials Demo Kits. Through SOKI, Keramos/M.A. students work with teachers and counselors to facilitate the hands-on use of these kits in high school classrooms.
