Abstract Scope The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation (CGIF) is committed to promoting education and workforce development in the field of ceramic and glass science. Part of CGIF's mission is outreach, aimed at engaging the next generation of students and professionals in the ceramic and glass industry. This abstract highlights the innovative outreach programs initiated by CGIF. These programs include hands-on workshops, interactive lessons and learning experiences, and collaborative networking opportunities. The poster also highlights CGIF's efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in its programs, and how it has prioritized underrepresented groups to ensure a diverse and inclusive future workforce. CGIF also conducts teacher training workshops across Ohio, which include hands-on experiments from the Materials Science Classroom Kit, an industry luncheon, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Through these outreach programs, CGIF helps to bridge the gap between science and society, making science more approachable, understandable, and engaging to diverse audiences.
