This presentation will discuss STEM outreach, with a focus on the fields of ceramic and glass science. The author, a former educator and current program manager of The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation, will share firsthand experience in designing and implementing successful programming for students. The presentation will highlight how these programs transform students' interest in STEM fields and shape their future career paths.
The presentation will provide practical examples of successful programs demonstrate how others can create similar programming in their own local communities, providing useful tips and resources for planning and implementing effective outreach. For example, hot glass outreach events, which explore the science behind the art of glass blowing.
