Abstract Scope |
In this presentation, I will provide an overview of my previous research conducted in collaboration with Prof. Richard Hoagland. Our work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory encompassed a range of investigations, including the co-plastic deformation of Al-TiN multilayers, fracture behavior at the Mg/Nb interface, and the strengthening effects of the 3D interface. One particular example of the migration mechanism of Σ3 {112} incoherent twin boundaries (ITBs) and its role in the detwinning of Σ3 {111} coherent twin boundaries (CTBs) in nanotwinned Cu will be highlighted. This work illuminates the influence of twin boundaries on the mechanical properties of the metal.
Collaborating with Prof. Richard Hoagland has been an immensely rewarding experience. His guidance and expertise have greatly contributed to my professional growth throughout my career. It is truly an honor to have worked alongside such a wise and knowledgeable individual. |
