Abstract Scope |
Selective laser melting (SLM) is a dynamically developing Additive Manufacturing technology widely used as an alternative manufacturing technique for complex and customized products.SLM produces fully dense durable metal parts that work well as both functional prototypes or end-use production parts. The article presents the concepts of obtaining different parts by SLM like: catalyst suport monoliths, soft magnetic cores, liners for warheads and machines parts . In the work the attempts to print in 3D technology using different filaments to optimize thermodynamic parameters on the monoliths, magnetic properties of the cores, mechanical properties of liners and other functional elements were performed. The work presents research on the selection of process parameters based on porosity measurements, static tensile tests, and hardness measurements. The microstructure and shear strength of the key elements are studied. The cross section of the samples ware examined using scanning electron microscope (SEM). |
