Abstract Scope |
Plasma-Jet treatment is a surface activation technique known for its precision and spatial resolution capabilities. Here, we use an atmospheric pressure plasma-jet printer for in-situ surface modification of different substrates for enhanced hydrophilicity, which is useful in various applications like microfluidics, adhesive bonding, and additive manufacturing. The study focuses on systematically varying and monitoring key plasma parameters such as voltage, gas flow, and working distance to analyse their influence on surface energy and wettability with different liquids. Through experimentation, optimized treatment conditions were identified, and their efficacy was evaluated through adhesion testing. We provide insights into the impact of plasma parameters on surface properties, facilitating the development of tailored treatments for materials and liquid interactions. |
