| Abstract Scope |
In this work, silver thin film has been produced using the magnetron sputtering method. The high-quality rounded watch glass (phi = 25 mm, thickness = 1 mm) was used as substrate and a dual beam spectrophotometer has been used to measure the optical parameters. The optical properties of silver thin films, such as the transmission, absorption and reflection of visible light (lamda =400-700 nm) have been decreased by increasing the thickness of layers. Additionally, the distribution function of deposition rate with respect to magnetron sputtering parameters like working pressure (10^(-2) ~ 10^(-1) mbar), electric current (up to 1000 mA) and distance between substrates and silver target (cathode) (5-15 cm) have been investigated by curve fitting and there is a very good agreement between these results and experiments. |
