Abstract Scope |
Additive manufacturing systems are creating new ways to build the world around us. With new manufacturing methods come challenges, and one of these is having the right materials and compositions. With Nickel-Titanium (or NiTi or Nitinol) manufacturing, controlling the exact composition of the material, from the percentages of Nickel and Titanium to the amount of oxygen, is very important. Using the Amazemet rePOWDER Ultrasonic Powder Atomizer, we are exploring the creation and recycling of NiTi powder and other materials. We are creating and characterizing materials for additive manufacturing and evaluating performance for electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB). |
