||Design Guideline of the Bolt Hole Based on the Parametric Formability Analysis

This paper deals with the formability analysis of the bolt hole. Mechanical properties were evaluated by the tensile test and Nakajima test in order to construct a material model for the sheet metal forming simulation. A quantitative formability evaluation method was proposed based on the simulation result, such as the strain distribution and the thinning. By using the proposed evaluation method, the parametric study was performed to investigate the effect of design parameters in the bolt hole shape. Finally, a design methodology was suggested to improve formability of the bolt hole by controlling main design parameters.
