||Numerical Simulation of Chain-die Forming Based on LS-DYNA

Chain-die molding is a recently proposed high-strength steel forming method. Chain-die molding can reduce excess strain, reduce residual stress and improve product quality by increasing the length of the contact zone. In this paper, by establishing the Chaboche hardening model of DP 980 (AHSS) Bauschinger effect, it is applied to the finite element model of chain-die forming based on LS-DYNA. The forming result, springback tendency and springback compensation are calculated by finite element software Dynaform. In addition, the simulation results of the finite element model of stamping forming based on ls-dyna were compared with the results of chain forming to analyze the formability and defects of the products, and the chain forming effect was better than that of stamping forming for high strength steel. At the same time, according to the numerical simulation results, the optimization design of the chain-die molding is carried out to improve the molding quality.
