Abstract Scope |
Tool path is very important for tooling in CNC and deposition nozzle for AM. A new method of hybrid tool path generation and optimization is proposed. The tool path is generated based on sweeping deposition profile and optimized by Genetic Algorithm based method considering the path lengths as the criterion. For the sweeping method, the profile is based on a three-dimensional geometric model of Gaussian distribution and the trajectory is the combination of common-used tool path types like contour and rastering, etc… At last, three cases are introduced in Grasshopper/ rhino to verify the proposed method. |
