In this study, an experimental set of hot stamping process of the ultra-high strength steel and a calculation method of the interfacial heat transfer coefficient (referred to as ‘IHTC’) are presented. An advanced temperature acquisition system is conducted to capture the temperature changes on a blank and tools precisely. The IHTC is then inversely yielded. The accuracy of IHTC is approved via the comparison between the measured and simulated temperature of the blank, in which the average error is less than 5%. In the end, the relationships between the IHTC and influence factors are summarized.
