The accurate modeling of aluminum alloy elastoplastic behavior has been always of critical relevance for the packaging industry. However, with the increase of the use of this material on the automotive industry new problems have arisen. One of the observed problems is the sensitivity of the damage-fracture to the stamping speed. This effect could be due to multiply phenomena in where one of them is the strain rate sensitivity of the fracture behavior of the material. That is why in this work, the damage-fracture behavior of the material has been analyzed under different strain rates and an appropriate model has been formulated.
