||Prediction of Springback in U-draw Bending of TRIP1180 with Bauschinger Effect Calibration

Tension/compression test, shear/reverse shear test, and bending/reverse bending test can be used to calibrate the Bauschinger effect on sheet metal. The study deals with the calibration of the Bauschinger effect on advanced high strength steel with the three types of sheet metal tests and then to discuss the results of springback prediction of 2-D draw bending. An in-plane simple shear jig mounted to universal testing machine and an electronic bending/reverse bending tester operating on a brushless DC motor are designed in order to conduct in-plane simple shear/reverse shear tests and bending/reverse bending tests, respectively. The material characterization results from the three types of loading/reverse loading tests are discussed by comparing the predicted profiles of springback in 2-D draw bending.
