| Abstract Scope |
Compared with traditional blast furnace processes for treating complex iron ore resources, the coal-based direct reduction process demonstrates strong competitiveness in terms of energy, cost, environmental protection, and raw material adaptability. It enables the efficient separation of iron and non-iron elements, thereby achieving the goal of comprehensive utilization of China’s complex iron ore resources. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the patent literature on the coal-based direct reduction process for complex iron ore resources, focusing on the number of patent applications, applicants, and main research directions. Furthermore, it primarily summarizes the applications of the coal-based direct reduction ironmaking process in treating vanadium-titanium magnetite, laterite nickel ore, niobium iron ore, high-phosphorus oolitic hematite, and high-iron bauxite. |
