| Abstract Scope |
Hydrogels are superb candidates for biomedical applications because of their magnificent biocompatibility. Here, a stretchable hydrogel with ion-responsive properties is synthesized. The hydrogel can swell considerably when placed in a phosphate buffer solution and the kinetics of swelling is studied. Mechanical tests are carried out on the hydrogel to evaluate its strength, elastic modulus, and toughness. For analyzing the 3 D printability of the hydrogel, rheological characterization is done. |
