Abstract Scope |
A case study on investment cast Ni-based super alloy (Haynes 282) valve body for the high temperature application in CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) plant will be presented with the results from the physics based casting process simulation of the filling and solidification and correlation of the micro-structure and properties with experimental results. Such an ICME approach can be used for predicting micro-structure and properties in various areas, including critical high stress areas in as-cast as well as fully heat treated conditions. |
