| Abstract Scope |
The phase diagram of slag system was analyzed by FactSage with waste automobile catalyst as raw material. The optimum composition was SiO2/Al2O3=0.8, CaO/MgO=3, R4=0.92, B2O3=10 %. The composition has the widest low melting point region, and its physical and chemical properties meet the requirements of low melting temperature, suitable viscosity, large density difference and low surface tension. The high temperature smelting test showed that the separation of copper-nickel matte and platinum group metals was excellent under this condition, and the recovery rates of Pt, Pd and Rh were 91.3 %, 95.2 % and 94.7 %, respectively. The synergistic optimization of basicity and B2O3 ratio can realize the directional control of slag performance and provide a basis for the recycling of waste catalysts. |
