Abstract Scope |
In the recent years, the increasing demands of the microparts has promoted the development of micro-manufacturing technologies, which also leads to the wide application of the microtubes. To the meet the both requirements of the strength and formability of microtubes in the microforming process, the microtubes with the good combination of the strength and ductility are desired. In the present study, the cyclic rotating bending (CRB) process proposed by the authors is employed to refine the microstructure and improve the mechanical properties of pure Ti (TA1) microtube. The CRB process with the different deformation conditions were carried out to study the influences of the deformation conditions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the pure Ti microtube. The results show that the deformation conditions such as deformation temperature, rotation time and bending angle have the significant influence on the refinement and mechanical properties. |
