Abstract Scope |
Bimetallic ring components such as bearing rings and flanges realize the complementary properties of single-metallic rings with wear-resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength and toughness, ect. The compact cast-rolling compound forming provides an important way to produce the bimetallic rings. In this study, the hot rolling behavior of 40Cr/Q345B bimetallic casting ring blank was studied using the Abaqus platform. The equivalent plastic strain permeates from outer- and inner-layers into the bonding layer (center-layer) with increasing the feeding rate of idle roll. In the finishing rolling stage, the uniform distribution of the equivalent strain in the bonding layer is achieved. As the initial temperature of casting ring blank and rolling ratio increase, the uniformity of equivalent strain is improved, and the change of temperature distribution is un-conspicuous. The optimum rolling parameters are found to be the feeding rate of 2.5mm/s, initial temperature of 1180℃ and rolling ratio of 1.3, respectively. |
