Abstract Scope |
Dynamic recrystallization (DRX) characteristics in a GH4169 superalloy during hot deformation with changed strain rate are investigated. The comprehensive influences of deformation parameters and initial δ phase on the DRX degree and grain geometric characteristics are discussed. Results indicate the DRX degree decreases with increasing of true strain at stage I, or the strain rate at stage I/II. Meanwhile, the DRX grain becomes refined and the value of grain boundary misorientation angle is relatively reduced. Large content of initial δ phase not only enhances DRX degree but also aggravate the refining of DRX grains. Considering the combined influences of forming parameters and initial δ phase, an improved DRX kinetic model is developed. The preferable consistency between forecasted and tested DRX fractions signifies the developed kinetic model can precisely evaluate the DRX characteristics of GH4169 superalloy with different initial δ phase during hot deformation accompanied by changed strain rate. |
