Abstract Scope |
The true stress-strain curves of 2024 aluminum alloy plate are investigated under different deformation conditions through the cyclic bending and uniaxial tensile tests. It is found that the equivalent strain limit is improved with the increase of the times of circle bending, which is linear accumulated along the line that is perpendicular to the neutral layer on which the bending strain is zero.
TEM and SEM are employed to explore the evolution of microstructure along the aluminum plate section before and after cyclic bending, especially the dislocation density distribution. Besides the Microscopic observations, the present work mainly compared several constitutive models to fit the stress-strain curves to try to reveal the mechanism of this phenomenon. Furthermore, a hardening model and fracture model concerning with dislocation density is built respectively to describe the material behavior when the aluminum plate is formed under cyclic bending condition. |
