Abstract Scope |
In cold orbital forging of part with double circular high ribs, the metal flowing process of inner rib and outer rib are non-synchronous.This non-synchronous metal flowing leads to unbalanced force between inner and outer surface of corresponding high mold boss, hence the high mold boss has high-risk to crack. To avoid this crack risk, the metal flowing process of double circular high ribs and the stress state on the high mold boss are revealed by FE simulation method. Then, the optimal design of preforging billet which can improve the synchrony of metal flowing process on double circular high ribs and improve the stress on the high mold boss is conducted. Finally, a verification experiment is carried out, and the experiment results verify the availability of the optimal design of preforging billet proposed in this paper. |
