Aim of present paper is to examine the plastic anisotropy behaviour of aluminium alloy, using Barlat´s Yld 2000-2d yield criterion. This yield function is largely applied in sheet metal forming. Eight new anisotropy coefficients are proposed and calibrated from material experimental data. The materials were Al2024 [1], Al6022 [2], Al6111 [3]. Numerical calculation of the new coefficients was obtained for the parameters: Lankford anisotropy coefficient, normalized yield stress, equal biaxial stress. Newton-Raphson method were employed to calculate these parameters. In results and discussion, the proposed parameters were validated by plotting on the same graph the predicted curves and experimental data for aluminium alloy sheets. The curves fitting has shown that the Barlat´s yield stress criterion and plastic stress potential for aluminium alloys are not coincident.
