The stamping deformation characteristics of the U-section curve beam were analyzed in this paper. It was found the reason which cause the two typical spring-back phenomena of section angle spring-back and longitudinal curvature spring-back after stamping process. Secondly, the Dynaform software was used to simulate the U-section curve beam forming process. The effects of material properties, ridge radius of curvature, wing and bottom and wing width on the spring-back were studied. The influences of forming parameters such as blanking force and friction coefficient on the spring-back tendency were discussed. Finally, a series of experiments were carried out to validate the simulated results. The results show that the spring-back tendency is consistent with the material strength, section corner radius, ridge line curvature and width of the wing. On the contrary, the spring-back change in opposite direction with the decrement of the blanking force and friction coefficient during stamping.
