Abstract Scope |
The object of this paper is the validation of a new experimental approach to identify the plastic flow behaviour during blanking for a single-stage shear cutting process in a punching machine. In this respect, this contribution concentrates for detecting these plastic flow behaviour in the lower thickness of the sheet metal during the cutting process. For this purpose, the plastic flow behaviour in the sheet thickness where the maximum arising residual stress state are measured by strain gauges in order to subsequently correlate those measured results and the curvature characteristics of the cutted sheet metal part. The major contribution of this paper is an experimentally conducted systematic comparative study of this approach, in which the influence of different tool wear conditions we used is evaluated and the influence of various sheet thicknesses for a deep-drawing steel DC01 on the measurement result is investigated. |
