Abstract Scope |
For the Al-Mg-Li alloy sheet with strong anisotropy, the uniaxial and cruciform biaxial tension tests and the Nakazima test are firstly performed to determine the material parameters (strength coefficient, strain hardening exponent, normal anisotropy coefficient, experimental yielding points and forming limits) of this sheet. To describe the yield locus of this sheet, the Hill’s 48 and Yld2000-2d yield criteria are used. Furthermore, the Hill’s 48 function is modified on the basis of the section theory to better describe the yielding behavior of Al-Mg-Li alloy sheet. Then, the forming limits of this sheet are predicted by the modified M-K model developed in our previous work, where the above three yield criteria are respectively employed. Results show that the modified Hill’s 48 yield criterion gives the highest accuracy for the predicted FLCs, especially when the stress path approaches 1. |
