Abstract Scope Over the past decade, my research group has developed a number of data science and informatics tools aimed at creating high-fidelity process-structure-property (PSP) linkages for materials with a rich hierarchy of internal structures spanning multiple length scales. These tools leverage advanced concepts in materials science and engineering together with advances in machine learning and informatics. They are able to provide customized analytics needed to account for the stochastic nature of the complex internal structure of materials at multiple length scales in mining the high value knowledge sought in materials research efforts. The foundational concepts behind these new tools will be illustrated through multiple case studies.
