Abstract Scope |
In this talk, a new concept of using inorganic metal halide perovskites (MHPs) as host phases to immobilize salt wastes was demonstrated and a low temperature processes was developed to effectively separate complex salt waste from molten salt technologies. MHPs display diverse crystal chemistries and excellent structural flexibility capable of incorporating a wide range of waste elements with high waste loadings. The salt waste loaded MHP-based waste forms also demonstrate significantly enhanced chemical durabilities than the state-of-the-art. |
