Abstract Scope |
In this work, in order to solve the problem of slag-sticking in the insertion tube during the RH refining process of high-carbon steel, through experimental and thermodynamic calculations to analyze the performance and changing laws of the CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO-FeO-MnO-CaF2-Na2O slag system, and to research the interaction between refining slag and insertion tube refractory material. The results show that within the range of slag system composition in this study, the melting temperature first increases and then decreases with the increase of basicity, while the viscosity changes in the opposite manner. The increasing mannesmann index will reduce the melting temperature, but the viscosity change first increases and then decreases. After the interaction of refining slag with corundum refractory material, the main phases are Ca2SiO4 and Ca2Al2SiO7. Comprehensive analysis of the basicity of 2.2-2.6, mannesmann index of 0.15-0.25, MgO of 5wt%, CaF2+Na2O of 6wt% of refining slag can reduce the insertion tube slag-sticking. |
