| Abstract Scope |
This presentation will focus on the area of standardization of welding and joining related to laser welding and cutting within Japan as well as in the international welding community. Examples of welding standards in Japan (ISO/IIW/JIS – Japanese Industrial Standard) and the ties to international standards will be presented. Finally, a summary of the current status of welding standards and where these standards should be evolving to will be presented. |
