||The Process and Application of Oxygen-rich Side-blowning Smelting for Lead-zinc Materials

This paper discussed smelting process and application of oxygen-rich side-blowning for lead-zinc materials. This process includes three steps: oxidation melting, redution melting and slag fuming which are continusly completed in three oxygen-rich side-blowning furnaces connected by chute. The lead-zinc meterials fed into first furnace for oxidation melting and desulfurization produce lead-rich slag which flows into second furnace to produce lead bullion and reducting slag which flow into third furnace to fume and produce zinc oxide dust. The result of application indicates the process can treat materials with 22%-40% lead and about 10% zinc content in furnace charge. The specific capacity of furnace is about 60t/m2.d. Qxygen concent in oxygen-rich air of oxidation furnace reached 90%. Desulfurization rate of oxidation furnace reached 99.5%. The coal rate of reduction reached 8.6%. The furnace lives up to 5 years. Recovery rate of lead is more than 97% and more than 92% for zinc.
