In recent years, China's requirement on environmental protection, energy conservation and other aspects have been continuously increased. Non-ferrous metallurgy industry has developed rapidly and oxygen-enriched smelting technologies have been fully developed, CSC is one of the most important technologies. This paper discusses the development of CSC technology and its process mechanism, technical characteristics as well as main equipment. The industrial test and application of CSC technology in lead smelting, copper-nickel smelting, antimony smelting, and hazardous waste treatment are also discussed in this paper. As an environmental-friendly, energy efficient technology, CSC has strong adaptability and broad application prospects in nonferrous metallurgy industry.
