Presentation Title Design Paradigm for Sustainable Manufacturing of Ceramics by Analyzing Different Case Studies
Author(s) Surojit Gupta
On-Site Speaker (Planned) Surojit Gupta
Abstract Scope There is an urgent need for manufacturing advanced materials for biomedical, structural and functional applications. Traditionally, ceramics manufacturing is energy intensive. Smart design paradigm is needed to reduce or mitigate the Carbon footprint. In this presentation, I will present some of the recent development in greening of manufacturing via case studies developed in my research group. Different types of approach will be discussed for greening the ceramics manufacturing from entrepreneurship perspective. A comparison of different types of manufacturing technologies will be presented. It is expected that these novel technologies can be commercialized for further development.
